Thank you to Lindsey Barrus, of the North Stake for ALL her hard work and dedication on behalf of our little ones who need a little extra help and care. We enjoyed her presentation and felt the spirit as she bore testimony of our role, and gave great advice. Here is a special training video she has made for her Stake, and was kind enough to allow us to have it also!!! Thanks Again Lindsey!

I was born in the hot central valley of California and raised in in a small mountain town near Yosemite National Park. I grew up hiking & biking in the mountains & love to be out in nature. I was raised Catholic & at age 18 decided to search out my own testimony & had many unanswered questions for God. In this process, I looked into many churches & at age 21 I had met the missionaries who gave me a Book of Mormon. By the third discussion, I knew the Church was true. It was as though I was coming home to truths that I had somehow always known. Later I married Daniel Prescott, a lifetime member of the church. I obtained my teaching degree, taught second & third grade for a year I then became pregnant with our first of four girls. As a stay at home mom, I have supported my husband through the process of becoming a physician & we have moved our family from California, to Oregon & to Missouri. Currently we are living in Lexington while Dan attends UK for a fellowship in Vitreal Retinal Surgery. We are so happy to be here among so many faithful members of the church. We look forward to enjoying the mountains here in lovely Kentucky.

I was born and raised in Arizona to a wonderful family with a proud pioneer history. My family loved the arts, theater and music, so I grew to love those things as well, especially classical, choral and orchestral music. I love to sew. I have my own pattern company in which I create custom fabric portrait patterns, and have taught my technique all over the United States and Canada. I currently enjoy an exciting career in the technology field, as an executive assistant to the President and CEO of a growing company. My husband and I have raised 5 children, mostly in Kentucky, but we also spent 4 exciting years in Japan. Now that our children are mostly grown with families of their own - we enjoy the benefits of being grandparents to 7 beautiful grandchildren so far. Finally, I couldn't sum up my life in one short paragraph without mentioning my love for the gospel of Jesus Christ. It truly strengthens me and is the only source of peace and comfort in my fast paced life.

I was born in Lansing Michigan but raised in Northern Indiana in the small town of LaGrange. I lived in town during the school year but spent all of my summers at our lake house just 20 minutes from where we lived. It was there I gained my love for all outdoor water sports. It has been my goal in life to teach all of my children & grandchildren to water ski, so far I have achieved that goal. I graduated from Ball State in Deaf Ed but worked more with hearing aids as my husband & I owned our own practice for 10 years which is what brought us to Lexington 17 years ago. We have been blessed with 7 children, 1 girl, 6 boys & now 2 grandsons. I was raised in a Protestant faith until 16 years ago when I was baptized into the church. My husband & I had the privilege to serve a local mission for 3 years in the Monticello branch. It was there I gained my love for missionary work. At the same time we had 2 sons serving full time missions out of the country. I have had the privilege to serve in many capacities in the gospel but my love has always been with the youth & the primary children. It was for this reason I was so excited to be called to serve again with our precious primary children.
